I forget if you'll need to follow additional steps, but a little google-fu should give you some reliable sources to help you out. Steam will run it, night need to do a little config. Outside of steam use DS4 add mentioned.
PC and PS-controllers just don't work too well while Xbox is plug in and play. You can plug in a ps4 controller and it'll work just fine. Proper button prompts too. Yeah but you can bluetooth a Xbox controller without issues, with cable ps4 finally works well with Windows 10.
