Sorento SX 3.3L. Engine began knocking and failed with no warning lights before or after the failure. Had it towed to Kia dealer in Peterborough, Ontario. Kia wanted over $12,000 to rebuild the engine even though I paid for 200,000km bumper to bumper warranty. 200,000km or 10 years.. Failed at 166,000km and 6 years.

I have a 2005 kia sorento v6 3.5L. the check engine light is on as it has been misfiring now for the last couple weeks. after a scan, using a unversal scanner, it revealed a misfire on cylinders 1, 3, and 5. this seems to increase when the car is in drive or reverse. it still acts up when at idle.
